Dozens of villages in Ganda Singhwala have been flooded after India released water into the Sutlej River, the villagers have started moving to safer areas with their help. River Sutlej has moderate flood at Gandasingwala, water inflow has reached 114 thousand 260 cusecs, high flood is expected in Sutlej Gandasingwala in next 24 to 48 hours. The district administration has also set up rescue camps in the villages of Bhikwala, Masteki, Fatehwali, Mahiwala and Chanda Singh. Many villages including Kasur and Okara have been submerged by flood water.
